Make It Happen: www.ashleyloren.com

Hey Everyone!

When it comes to the future, there are three kinds of people: those who let it happen, those who make it happen, and those who wonder what happened. - John M. Richardson
Here we are, December 9, 2010, and I have finally started to "make it happen" online =). Today, the teaser for my website www.ashleyloren.com went live, and while it may not be much at this very moment, it is definitely the start of something great!

I am so excited to finally start the arduous (yet fun) process for branding and marketing myself via the all powerful internet! With the help of some friends, I hooked up with a great team who is helping me understand all that technical "stuff" behind creating a website. For now, we only have a home page with links to my several social networking sites (on which, of course I need to do some serious work) to try and build the buzz before the album release.

It's crazy how much the music business has changed... We go from a major label dominated industry with budgets galore, and dedicated time to the building of an artists empire, hours of non-stop marketing work and immense amounts of money spent by the label on the brand of a budding pop-star, to the need for something far more individual/entrepreneurial on part of the artist.

Nowadays, the artist needs to create their own destiny, build their own empire and MAKE IT HAPPEN for themselves. I embrace that! It is up to us, those who have the drive and courage to follow their dreams (and it does take courage, people!) to create our own brand, entice new fans and build up our fan-base via Live performances and appearances, and even more-so online (twitter, youtube, blog, facebook, etc...) With the support of the masses on your side, nothing can stop you!

So, in short... if you have a dream... don't be afraid, be your on advocate and MAKE IT HAPPEN PEOPLE!

More to come...

Love,
Ashley

Headshots 2010

Hey Guys!
It’s nearing the end of September and we are preparing for the fall (my favorite season!). As the leaves are getting ready to turn, I’ve decided to do the same! Naww… just kidding. Well, not really because I am turning over some leaves of my own, getting back to my roots… theater.
As you know, I began my career in Musical Theater at the age of six, and I will always have a passion for it. I love to act and I love to sing! I have appeared in a few feature films and have also been in numerous community and regional theater productions over the years. That being said… I needed new headshots for some potentially great opportunities in NYC (Theater/Film/TV) with some great agents that may be coming my way this year. *fingers crossed*
Here are the first few… more to come! Check it out!
Let me know what you think!
Much Love!
